Projector vs Manifestor
Overview
Both a Projector and a Manifestor are non-Sacral types. Neither has the consistent life-force motor that Generators and Manifesting Generators run on. That is where the similarity ends. A Manifestor is here to initiate, and the strategy is to inform before acting. A Projector is here to guide, and the strategy is to wait until that guidance is recognized and invited.
The counts on the type pages are 21% for Projectors and 8% for Manifestors. The auras are almost opposites: focused and absorbing, versus closed and repelling. If you have been told you are "not a Generator" and left there, the next question is which of these two mechanics the chart actually shows.

Initiating and guiding are different jobs
A Manifestor has a motor center connected to the Throat and no defined Sacral. That connection is what makes independent action possible. The type page describes a person who can go it alone, and whose impact startles people who were not told what was coming. Informing is not a request for permission. It is how the closed aura stops creating resistance.
A Projector does not have that motor-to-Throat connection. The energy for action is not self-generated in the same way. What the Projector has is sight: a focused, absorbing aura that reads other people and systems. The work lands after recognition. Pushing into the room uninvited is the move that creates bitterness, even when the observation was accurate.
The auras do opposite things in a group
The Manifestor aura is closed and repelling. People feel the impact and often a pressure to get out of the way. The love section of that page calls it a push once someone gets close. Informing gives the other person a chance to adjust. Skipping it is how allies turn into obstacles, and how anger builds.
The Projector aura moves toward the other person. It takes them in. That can feel intimate to the right person and invasive to the wrong one, which the Projector page says directly. A Manifestor who waits to be invited into every initiation will feel caged. A Projector who informs and then launches, the way a Manifestor does, is still offering guidance nobody asked for.
Peace is not success, and anger is not bitterness
Peace is the Manifestor signature: the calm of being free to act without obstruction. Anger is the not-self theme, and the page treats it as information. It rises when the initiating impulse is controlled, slowed, or blocked, including the block that appears after you moved without telling anyone.
Success is the Projector signature: recognized, in the right place, effective. Bitterness is what accumulates when the recognition does not come and the Projector keeps giving anyway. The feelings are not interchangeable. A Manifestor stewing because they were told to wait is in anger. A Projector stewing because nobody asked is in bitterness. The strategy that answers each one is different.
Authorities they can share, and one they cannot
Neither type has Sacral authority. A Manifestor with a defined Solar Plexus has Emotional authority. Otherwise the authority is Splenic or Ego. A Projector can have those too, and can also have Self-Projected authority, which speaks through the G Center as you hear yourself talk. Manifestors are not given Self-Projected authority in this system, because their motor-to-Throat definition produces a different decision hierarchy.
The chart prints the authority next to the type. Do not borrow the other type's timing. A Manifestor with Splenic authority gets one quiet hit and it does not repeat. A Projector with Emotional authority still has to ride the wave, invitation or not. The free chart is the place to see your own pair.
